There's one quilt I used as inspiration for a baby gift last spring (a VERY unique quilt) and it says it was listed five days ago. This will tell you if and how many were sold. Also down at the bottom you can see the date it was listed. I wonder if those quilts are selling at those prices. On the one hand, knowing the work that goes into it, it's reasonable. But I wonder if people really "get" that.

I often give a quilt as a baby shower gift, and my friends seem to really appreciate it. But if someone just views a quilt as a blanket, then you might as well save the time and money and just give them a blanket... you know what I mean?

Thanks for the input, friends :DHerding Grasshoppershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15668974245505544238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7307114766025313443.post-50117190565205319522014-02-05T11:14:52.011-08:002014-02-05T11:14:52.011-08:00Julie, maybe you've already done this, but I g...
Julie, maybe you've already done this, but I googled handmade quilts. More details with applique or customizing is about $150. More basic construction, with fewer pieces and less quilting starts as low as $50. If it were me, I'd start on the higher end and adjust if necessary. sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05372272007182679464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7307114766025313443.post-59305777045205091552014-02-05T09:12:25.130-08:002014-02-05T09:12:25.130-08:00They are beautiful! I find that even though we put hours and hours of our time into our art, people who are not artists just do not comprehend that it's an original and lots of time and love has been put into it. Therefore the price SHOULD reflect that. Don't let what you price it make you feel guilty. You will deserve every penny. *Dusting off my soap box now.* :o)

Blessings!
DeborahThe dB familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15170331499885879774noreply@blogger.com
