My heart melts every time I see those bunnies!

I'm excited to start reading The Disappearing Spoon - I ordered it with a gift card that my SIL and BIL gave me for my birthday. I can't wait for it to arrive in the mail!

I'm reading the Magic Tree House Series to the boys - they like the books, though they're still a bit advanced for Matt to read on his own.dleflerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10699612034298659706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7307114766025313443.post-7927489778326844382012-10-17T19:57:37.629-07:002012-10-17T19:57:37.629-07:00Hey Julie, I HATE Halloween but LOVE carving pump...Hey Julie, I HATE Halloween but LOVE carving pumpkins. So I make pictures of leaves and wind swirls and such. That way I can scoop the pumpkin guts (which I think is fun) and toast the pumpkin seeds (which I LOVE to eat). I did a pumpkin a couple weeks ago and sat on my back porch enjoying the glow from it. I kept it until it started to rot, so it's gone now. But it made for a couple enjoyable evenings (carving, eating seeds, and being able to sit in it's glow). Just an idea :-) TriciaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7307114766025313443.post-16810045064296459272012-10-16T09:26:48.890-07:002012-10-16T09:26:48.890-07:00We have some good recipes to use all that pumpkin,...We have some good recipes to use all that pumpkin, if you need ideas. I don't suppose we will be for long, since I totally reorganized the year around our schedule, so we aren't splitting a longer "visit" into before-and-after weeks we take off. (Does that make any sense?)Herding Grasshoppershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15668974245505544238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7307114766025313443.post-30546637598351971272012-10-15T11:34:35.332-07:002012-10-15T11:34:35.332-07:00We're in about the same place in Core F, appar...We're in about the same place in Core F, apparently! We're in the middle of Wolves of Willoughby Chase and Water Sky right now. Starting Penny Candy and Incredible Journey by the end of the week. You'll pass us quickly, I'm sure, since we have a lot of off weeks coming up, but it's fun to be in the same spot for a little while!

As for those pumpkins...carve them there and then bring them home and cook them! I freeze pumpkin in 1-2 cup portions for baking. We're not big on pumpkin pie, but we could eat pumpkin bread all day! :-)The Hibbard Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05066058156943532164noreply@blogger.com
