I couldn't agree more. Too bad this concept is so hard for so many. I talk about it pretty regularly with various people, and among the people I have spoken to, in every case the impulse driving the desire to take from someone and give to another grows out of a desire to help.
But it's not helpful. It's harmful to both the giver(victim), and the recipient.
