What? It's sunny out, and I thought I was done for the day!
I can't believe you're making me write up the experiment.
Do I really have to write up every single one?
And why are you calling me a predator?
Mom, this is so dorky.
My prey is in there?
Um, I don't eat paper.
Oh! I'm an M&M predator!
Alrighty, then.
Only thirty seconds?
Maybe mom isn't quite so dorky after all.
And I even found some of the camouflaged (green) ones.
Oh, that is a really clever idea! I love it! Gunnar's expressions are priceless, too, haha!
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteBesides talking about the effectiveness of camouflage, it illustrates natural selection. If M&M's could reproduce, (and isn't THAT wishful thinking!) which colors would survive to pass on their genes to babies in this habitat?
so funny...loved Gunnar's expression and body language...and what a total turnaround when he's searching through that box!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! And I love the expression on his face - priceless!!
ReplyDeleteI could hear the nature documentary background music playing - you should make a video!
ReplyDeleteLove it and the way you think of things - You are blessed! As always, I enjoy your blog!

I can't take any credit - the experiment idea comes from Apologia science. We're doing Zoology for the third book in a row - Gunnar's choice.
ReplyDeleteAnd Joanna, you're brilliant. Why didn't I think of doing David Attenborough's voice?!
Love the pout face and goggles, Gunnar!
ReplyDeleteTrying to remember if we used m&ms for that, or maybe skittles? {m&ms would be much better prey!}
Love Gunnar's expression! So if the credit doesn't go to you for the brilliant experiment, I know Apologia science would be a huge hit in this house!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Deborah
