Words I Didn't Want To Hear

Did you have to do a little extra impromptu spring cleaning?

  2. We were right there last week with "Mommy, the shower won't drain!"

Followed by the water that was draining out of the shower coming up through the toilets, the other bathtub......

  3. Oh dear, I've heard those words before too. *sigh* I just remind myself -- at least it's not an outhouse :oP.

    Blessings!

  4. These things always happen when Kerry is gone, too!

Fortunately, it turned out to be something weird but not too nasty. (Nothing overflowing.)

While the boys were (innocently?) playing in the family room they heard a strange noise in the bathroom. The toilet had been sucked dry, apparently from 'below'. ?????

There was about half an inch of water way down in the bottom, and it was constantly agitated.

    Weird, weird, weird.

I shut the water off and 'fixed' (?) it by bucket-flushing, turned the water back on, and it seems fine.

    Points for Mom :D

  5. Sooooo been there! Glad you didn't have one of those "Hurry! throw the towels at it, Quick!" moments.

  6. Ugggh (shudder). We've had those.

Generally, if it needs The Snake, it's Kerry's job. Smaller problems, I fix.

  7. Yuck. That's right up there with waking in the middle of the night to the sound of the 100 pound dog heaving. Glad yours was not much of an issue!

  8. That's funny. Today I got home and saw a HHOLE PILE of tp in the toilet and thought "oh my word, here we go"

Turns out our 2 year old, almost 3 who is training snuck in there and unrolled about a third of a roll into the bowl. So we didn't want to fish it out, but didn't want it to plug up either.

Left it for a few hours (thankfully no "stinkie" in the water, just color) and Heather put some bleach in there to help it come apart. Then down with one flush and a sigh of relief. . .

You know, a house of girls can be just as much of an adventure. .
