The Definition of Frustration...

... trying to homeschool your hard of hearing kiddo

while you have laryngitis.

Yah.

Yesterday I lost my mind (see yesterday's post),
and today it's my voice.

Wonder what tomorrow will bring?

You are awesome! Am a mom of an amazing girl who happens to be deaf too. You give a different meaning to stuff and life in general. Glad to have stumbled upon your site. You are a breath of fresh air.
Thanks for sharing!

Hope you feel better soon! I do so much reading around here that if I lost my voice I'd have to close the school completely! (Well... almost)

I have to catch up! Laryngitis is definitely a difficult problem - there would be a lot of pantomiming in my house!

Yes, there is a lot of pantomiming and we are using the signs that we know. The funny thing is, Tate can read my lips better than anyone IF HE KNOWS I'M TALKING to begin with.

I'm starting to have a little voice.

It's killing Tate and Gunnar, because we started The Hobbit as a read-aloud. They're perfectly capable of reading it themselves, but we ENJOY reading it together. I'm making them wait until I get more voice back.
