Things That Make You Say "Hmmmm..."

This has got to be the oddest photo from Hurricane Sandy that I've seen yet.  I bet it will show up mis-labeled, sometime in the future.  My imagination runs wild ;D

On a creepier note... just what is the liquid those cars are submerged in???  Did a Jell-O factory flood?

That trampoline picture is something. We live in southern West Virginia and have a foot of snow! Saw a pictures of a snowman on FB decorated with maple leaves. We have not lost power and consider ourselves fortunate. I also wonder about the liquid?

We had a really nice article in our newspaper today about our local CAP unit here. I thought of you and your boys and how proud they are to be a part of that organization. Take care.

A foot of snow! That sounds unusual for your area! Glad to hear you still have power :D

We get flying trampolines and tents around here during monsoon season.

As for the liquid in which the cars are submerged - I'd call it storm water mixed with New York litter. :(

Horrible, and we're sure praying for the north east!

Amazing how UNdamaged that trampoline looks! We lost ours in a prairie breeze several years back ;-) Thankful not to fear a hurricane's storm surge this far inland. As for the cars... ewwww

We had a horrible beginning of summer storm which picked up our "very staked in the ground" trampoline and flung it across our fence, then across the street into the neighbors field. That's nothing though compared to those trees that were uprooted. and I'm as perplexed as you are as to what those cars are floating in. hmmmm?

I saw the photo of the cars on Yahoo and also wondered about the colour... most dirt is brown... ew!

The kids were quite fascinated by the trampoline, quite dangerous to have those blowing around!

Could that red stuff be transmission fluid?

The trampoline pic is crazy - we were in Washington, D.C. as the hurricane approached and the wind and rain were intense until we left the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The hurricane followed us home and we had 70mph wind gusts and heavy rain that night. Fortunately there was no damage, just a few downed trees. NYC and the NJ coastline were hit very hard.

The trampoline pic is awesome.. not sure about the jello one. creepy. like Halloween.

I feel guilty about the mild weather we had in the midwest the entire time our family and friends on the east coast were getting pelted.
