Every Day is Different

On the way home from the orthodontist (yay! I remembered!) Wyatt got talking about his future, and careers he's interested in.  At this point the Air Force (via ROTC) is the front-runner, but he also has his eye on State Patrol.  I mentioned knowing a retired state trooper that would probably be willing to talk with him about the job, pros and cons, etc.  I cautioned Wyatt that one downside to the job is that, frankly, law-enforcement generally works with a lot of the scum of the earth.  (Not the co-workers!  The "clientele"!)  But, on the other hand, they do a lot of helping people as well.

Got home, flipped on my computer, and saw the headline...

Trooper Delivers Twins

That may affect his interest in the job ;D

Haha!!

(Is a trooper a policeman?)

Yah - a policeman is employed by a town/city, the sheriff and deputies are employed by the county (your shire?), and the trooper is employed by the state. So they're all pretty much the same, just with different jurisdiction.

Good for him! It sure takes a servant's heart for either one of those jobs.
