This ...
... dropped into this ...
... leads to this ...
And mom sends boys running in all directions,
to fetch rubbing alcohol, Q-Tips, and this...
... in which the wonder of silica worked its magic.
Leading to this...
And much relief on the part of Mom.
The moral of this story is...
... don't fiddle with your Hearing Aid over lunch!

Ack! I have great anxiety over fluids and hearing aids. Dennis's parents sent us money for a Dry and Store (the one with the UV light and warm, circulating air) and that thing has saved us a few times.
I am so glad Tate's hearing aid is in working order- even after a bath in tomato soup!
Been there! Too many times to count! Don't forget to get some more silica too!
WHEW!
AAHHHH!!! "don't fiddle with your Hearing Aid over lunch!" - Literally and figuratively!
Good Save!
Oh no! That's funny!
I'm still shuddering when I think of it.
Probably-thankfully-the soup was thick enough that it didn't penetrate into the hearing aid before Tate very quickly fished it out.
Thank the Lord!
And, providentially, we have an appointment with his audio down at Children's in the next couple of weeks, so we can make sure it's functioning properly.
Big sigh of relief!
Never a dull moment with you guys. Glad it got de-souped.
Yay for happy endings!
Be sure to take extra vitamin B to counteract that stressful moment!
Yikes! But what a happy ending =)
Phew! I'm glad you were able to save it.
Blessings!
Deborah
Even though the actual story isn't that "cute", the way you told it sure was! ; ) Glad things turned out with a smile! I'm still waiting for the day to fish one of Aiden's CIs out of the toilet.
In soup?!
I can't believe you saved them!!! Good for you. And phew!
