RAIN.
But we do kind of take a week off here and there as we feel like it. Often in September. Everybody else is back-to-school and we try to head off camping!
LOL!! Yes, I've often wondered the same thing!! Planning is much more fun than "doing"! I think it is rather surreal and Mary Poppins like when you can imagine yourself enjoying something "better" than the junk you currently have going on.

Plan ahead. :)
Start school the Monday after July 4, finish the last week in March.
Work through the hot and cold, play in the warm and cool.
It's worked for us so far.
Of course, we live under MO homeschool laws, so may be different where you are.
