Oops. He did it again.

This time I hold in my hand sheets of notebook paper covered with 50 repetitions of:

Proverbs 29:11 A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control.

Hitting your brother over the head with a piece of PVC pipe will buy you trouble. But not throwing a five alarm ballistic freak-out about your consequences will get you half the trouble you got last time.

Wise move Mom. There is hope. It was a Tonka truck when I was a boy, and I have written that verse lot's of times. God will honor your faithfulness.

Keep looking for the verses about an angry man. He needs to know them by heart, it is the only way the Holy Spirit can help him in those instances.

I will be praying for both of you.

Well, there goes my sage wisdom. I was sure it wouldn't happen again!

Absolutely right, Craig, and thanks for the prayers. It's so good to hear from men who came through it and emerged on the other side, a godly man.

Ruby, this is the one that pushes me right to the edge nearly every day. He's got so much energy and determination... if I can just get it pointed in the right direction.

(Why didn't I get married and have kids when I was younger?!

Oh, I pray that things "chill" out soon for you guys! He is listening, and he will learn- teenagers' ears are still on, even if their eyes are rolling! It is sinking in, even if it doesn't seem to be at the moment.

I think I'm going to tell my kids they aren't allowed to go past the age of 11! Just kidding, of course (g)!

Count your blessings, at least it was a PVC pipe, and not a lead pipe, like the one that Colonel Mustard used in the Library... (Do kids still play Clue?)

:o)
