A Question...

I'm so not a high-tech person, so help me out if you can.

When blogger introduced their new array of blog design options I was like a kid in a candy store.  Woo-hoo!  But... since I switched to one of the new templates, itseems like when I scroll down through my blog it's really jerky.  It doesn't scroll smoothly.

But the blogs I read... some scroll smoothly and some don't.  Why?

Does that make any sense?

Is it because the new templates are denser/richer?

I've saved my old Minima html and could 'go back', but I don't want to do a lot of fussing.

Any other ideas?  Or is it just me?  Just my computer?

Ugh! Mine would have to be denser! Like it's owner :-)
I had a lot of trouble with that when I first changed over but it seems to have settled down. Do you find mine smooth or not?

Hmm... I don't know. I haven't experienced any problems yet- hopefully it is just a fluke?

I like the new layout- your blog isn't "jerky" to me, lol!

No help. I can just confirm that I see what you mean now that you describe it ~ It doesn't scroll smoothly on my computer either. Sorry! :-( Hope there's a techie who can help you...

Let's see... Ruby, yours seems to scroll more smoothly than mine, but not as smoothly as Melanie's or Leah's.

Just by way of comparison, as we're all using new templates.

Go figure.

I may switch it back to Minima, just to see if that makes a difference.

Hey :)

Just a suggestion...it could have to do with the size of your photographs. It seems that you're uploading them at full "printable" resolution, rather than downsizing them. For instance, I grabbed one photo and it is 17" x 22" and almost 6 megabytes in size. That takes a lot of ram to rez.

I suggest scaling your photos down before uploading. Do you have photo editing software?
