The Grasshoppers Old Groove

It is time... oh yes, it is time.

Time to get back to routine, back to our normal schedule, back to regular chores... back to school.  (Cue the moaning and groaning.)

Thanks to rainy days after Christmas the boys have spent most of their vacation indoors.  Stacks of books need to be reshelved, cartoons the boys have drawn are piling up, I'm finding nerf darts in surprising places (like a drawer in the kitchen, between dishtowels... huh?), and the Legos have - once again - taken over the family room.  While all that may not be unusual (*ahem*), the level of bickering is rising, telling me in no uncertain terms that the boys need more structure.  Funny how we all look forward to wide-open vacation days, and how we all look forward to getting back to "normal"... though some of us might not admit it.

So... bye bye this...

And hello this...

Hooray for tomorrow! We'll be back at establishing a routine again too.

Vacation is fun, but it is nice to get back to the routine of things! We have had a huge amount of snow, so our snow days might delay our return to the routine (of speech therapy, playgroups, and preschool). Of course, at least mine are young enough to run around in the snow, then take a nap! Oh, I will miss naps when they are gone.

Yep, back to the groove...Personally, I could use another week without school. But in order to quantify it as a "vacation" either I'd need to go away ~ or everyone else would. (You know how that goes! *smile*) Actually, I'm okay with starting school again. It's the daily swim practice and all the activities that I'd be happy to forego!

By the way, I'm pretty sure if there's a prize for frequency of blog template changing, you win. :-D I keep thinking I should liven mine up...some time...eventually...

The template change thing... is it just annoying?

I don't know. I like change, so I fiddle with the look frequently. But then I ask myself if it really matters... if I'm paying more attention to what the blog looks like than what it says.

But I guess it just comes down to I like change.

And I moved the furniture, too.
