Words of Wisdom... From the Trenches

I was just reading 6YearMed - a young pediatrician's blog - and she was talking about the advice people give at showers.  You know, lovely practical advice about taking care of yourself, and cherishing the moments, etc.

But real moms give real practical advice, yah?  Like...

Thoughts?  What is your wisdom from the trenches?

Lol! White baptismal gowns and mustard poo! The Boy, had a real talent for the shoot it up the back and out the top. I remember thinking, please please lets just get through church without an explosion. Thankfully we did. The heirloom gown survived his exuberant bowels. I think we took a few photos and I promptly removed him of his dress ;o)!

Or, how about, when your four year old insists on knowing how Mommies and Daddies make babies together, and on how that baby gets into the mommy's stomach, do NOT tell the four year old that the daddy gives the mommy a special seed.

Because, one day at church, that four year old will look at a family with several kids and yell, "WOW! That daddy had a LOT of special seeds!"
