Homeschool Bennies #30

We are free to schedule our days, and weeks,
and years as we see fit.

We are not constrained by a traditional classroom schedule.  If we're right in the middle of a fascinating science experiment we are not going to be interrupted by a bell, demanding that we drop science and do math.

We are free from bells.  And from announcements over the intercom.  And from standing in line to go anywhere.  And from asking permission to get a drink of water or go to the bathroom.

I really like the fact that my kids can get a drink/snack or use the bathroom without asking permission!
When I was in high school they threatened to lock the toilets during class time to stop kids wasting time there... I still think it's the craziest idea out!

That IS crazy, though I can imagine what prompted them to consider it. Glad to not be dealing with those issues!
