He's Got A Point

Our yard... it is green, for the most part.

Because moss and weeds are green. Which isn't so bad.

But Kerry hates the dandelions. It's a personal war, with him. And the boys have been drafted, against their wills, into the conflict.

Tate particularly resents having to pick "dandies".

"But why? I mean, pulling weeds out of the garden makes sense, it's point-ful."

As opposed to picking dandies, which - to a boy - is pointless.

"Pointful." I like that one! Of course, if some things are pointless, then others must be pointful!

I've picked "pointful" weeds . . thistles, nettles, milkweed. . .
